1. Welcome to a.s.k Amarachi Kejeh!
My journey from Nigeria to the world!
My first name, “Amarachi” means “the grace of God,” and “grace” has been a consistent theme in my life. Thanks to the generous scholarship from my state government, Rivers State, I was able to leave Nigeria in 2010 to pursue an undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver on a full scholarship. I graduated with a BA, Joint Business & Economics and graduated with a remarkable 4.0 CGPA.
The opportunity to study in a world-class institution in one of the best countries in the world undoubtedly changed my life trajectory. Although I do not permanently reside in Nigeria, I am forever grateful for my foundational years there and still maintain a close affinity and sense of duty. This contributed to co-founding a remote-first social impact consulting firm in 2020 with my spouse, Chichi Kejeh.
Since relocating to Canada in 2010, I have been fortunate to embark on international adventures such as:
working as a Finance Manager in Dallas, USA;
completing an MBA (First Class Honours Average) at the Melbourne Business School, Australia; and
engaging in other school and work-related adventures in Serbia and Fiji.
My passion for social impact
I firmly believe that all humans were created for a purpose, and that purpose transcends beyond making ourselves happy. While the process of uncovering one's purpose could be a lifelong journey, certain themes emerge as guiding principles.
For me, one of those key themes is social impact—the power to create positive change on people’s lives and in our society. This belief starts in one's heart, fueling the faith that things can truly be better. This faith ultimately manifests in intentional actions that make a difference.
My social impact journey thus far
There are many ways I have expressed my passion for social impact, including volunteering, donating funds to individuals and causes, equipping myself with knowledge and skills needed to serve, and serving as a volunteer/employee for various impactful causes and organizations.
Since the pandemic, I have shifted my focus to entrepreneurship. In 2020, I co-founded Impact Partners Consulting Nigeria with my spouse. In 2021, I also co-founded Impact Plus Consulting Canada with a close friend from university, Precious Ile, although I stepped back from ownership in 2023.
These ventures provided opportunities to collaborate with leaders of non-profits, government agencies, and purpose-driven businesses, helping them clarify their strategic direction and better serve their communities. In 2022, Impact Plus Consulting was honored to receive the prestigious IAP2 Canada Core Values Award for a strategic planning project delivered for the University of Victoria, further affirming the commitment to impact and excellence.
Through entrepreneurship, I have had the privilege to recruit, train, and supporting like-minded individuals who are eager to leave their mark on the world. Furthermore, in 2022/2023, I played a pivotal role as one of the co-founders of the St. Thomas/Elgin Young Entrepreneurs Initiative, dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs under 40 in St. Thomas, Ontario.
What is ahead?
As I look ahead to the rest of this decade, my desire is two-fold:
To amplify my social impact by developing and sharing insights, tools, and resources.
To serve more individuals and organizations.
The launch of my personal brand and website is a significant step in achieving these goals. It allows me to amplify the work I do independently and with other consulting brands. More importantly, it provides a central home where I can share perspectives, recommendations, insights, tools, and resources with peers, clients, and anyone committed to making a positive difference in the world.
